After being engaged for 8 years Tim and I could never decide where and how to get married. In Germany with my family, in New Zealand with Tim's family or here in Australia with our friends. One night we were watching a travel show on TV and they showed all those beautiful pacific islands. Tim was saying: Lets get married somewhere in the Pacific. So after a bit of googling the internet we settled for Tamanu on the Beach. And oh boy did we choose well. We saw all those amazing pictures of previous weddings and knew this is it. Virginia and the whole Tamanu staff have done a fabulous job, putting in so much effort to make our stay prefect. The cottage, the meals, the setting of the resort, the service and not to forget of course our wedding day where all spectacular. Kayla, who did my hair and make up, Leith our photographer, Pastor Gideon, the lady who did the bouquet and the guys who put the archway together, they all worked so well together. We spent 7 days at the resort and could have not asked for a better place. We would like to make it back to Tamanu as often as we can for our anniversaries in the future. Jayne and I would like to thank you Virginia for arranging a wonderful wedding day for us. I initially had some reservations about organising an overseas wedding however your professionalism from the start allayed any concerns. Your skills as a photographer were pretty good too! We appreciated how you planned the day to meet our budget as well as offer some good suggestions like using the children's church choir. Lunch at the Tamanu Restaurant was delicious and relaxing on the lounges by the beach with a bottle of wine afterwards capped off a great day. It was all a wedding should be. We've told many of our friends of our experience and they are so envious. Once again, thank you very much.

We wanted our wedding day to be beautiful, intimate and stress free and that is exactly what we achieved at Tamanu on the Beach. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better day. There was a slight breeze, it wasn't too hot and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. The decorations and the set up were exactly what we wanted and the flowers were beautiful! Tamanu helped us arrange a cake and provided us with contact details of an absolutely amazing hair dresser. To finish the day we had a delicious meal at the Tamanu restaurant and drank gorgeous cocktails that were made to perfection. We have told all our friends about the amazing service and the stunning setting for our wedding at Tamanu on the Beach and we would recommend to anyone out there who is looking at getting married in Vanuatu to consider Tamanu for their special day. The helpful staff make it an easy choice for a beautiful stress free wedding that you will remember for the rest of your life!

"We were recently married at Tamanu on the Beach and it was absolutely perfect! Our ceremony & reception were both flawless and we had a completely stress-free day. Our guests all had a wonderful time and all commented on how amazing the food and location are. We booked all 6 bungalows so we had the resort to ourselves which worked out great for us. We were able to set up one of the bungalows as a "children's play zone" with some of the local ladies helping to mind the kids which gave the parents a chance to enjoy our wedding. The food was also fantastic. My husband has a garlic allergy so the chef ensured there was no garlic in anything at all so there was no risk of him accidentally getting sick on our wedding day.
My husband and I can't stop talking about how amazing Tamanu is and recommending it to anyone who will listen! If you are after a carefree, relaxing yet elegant wedding Tamanu is the ideal location!!"

What a lovely day we had on the 17th September 2012, when my husband and I renewed our wedding vows at Tamanu on the Beach. The ceremony, on the sand with ocean backdrop, went off without any issues, fireworks and all. The Snickers Bomb dessert was the best and the chef is amazing and very obliging. Loved the parmesan biscuits!! We were staying 500m up the beach and we were welcomed at Tamanu for coffee and meals. In fact on our first day we dropped in for coffee and 3 hours later decided to stay for lunch as it is such a beautiful and peaceful spot with fantastic staff. The start of many walks down the beach to the restaurant.
We enjoyed our 14 days in Vanuatu and plan to return. Would I recommend Tamanu, yes I would. Thanks for making our stay memorable.

"Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of having a beach wedding at sunset. Finally I found the perfect man and Tamanu Resort ticked all the boxes. The decorations and set up were perfect and all the suppliers were spot on. Having never visited Vanuatu, I managed to plan the entire day via email. Our guests have not stopped raving about the location, food and most importantly the service. Thank you for making our day better than we could have imagined! Tamanu is a beachfront heaven for weddings, dining and relaxing . We booked out all the cottages, which meant our children could share our special day with us. The staff was warm, welcoming, pleasant, caring and just very gracious to us. There were no requests that were not met. Right from the personalized welcome of our guests as they arrived, to the gorgeous beach setting for our vow renewal and our reception dinner. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Tamanu and I would without hesitation recommend Tamanu.
We had the most amazing wedding at Tamanu. Everything was perfect from the gorgeous food (best by far we had in Vanuatu) and attentive service. We can't thank you enough for everything you did to make our day perfect and everyone in our wedding party had an awesome time. I've just returned home from my wedding in beautiful Vanuatu that was held at Tamanu on the Beach. I have to say that you can leave any sort of cliché preconceptions of package tropical wedding holidays at the door if you are looking for a sophisticated, chic and modern wedding venue - as I did the moment we stopped at Tamanu a year ago drawn by the great reviews of the lunch menu. We thought it would be the perfect spot to have our small wedding and after initial investigations with Tamanu, realized how easy it was to have our wedding with 35 guests over in Vanuatu. The grounds are beautiful, white washed coral villas provide a true beachside feel, and the restaurant provided a light, airy and open feel… and the somewhat rugged coastline is the perfect backdrop for a romantic event such as a wedding. From the organisation of the actual ceremony, the restaurant set up, flowers and referrals for hair/makeup, guest accommodation, transport and best of all the local band! ALL guests complimented the Chef on producing a great menu with local produce and cooked to perfection, as well as whipping us up an amazing cake! To be honest, after being to Vanuatu a number of times it's easy to see how your idea of something can be lost in translation. So, if you are looking for something that is elegant, classic yet still embodies the relaxed vibe of Vanuatu, you WON'T be disappointed with Tamanu. Whilst Tamanu is approx. 30mins from Port Villa, this to us was one of the best features. PV can be a little gritty, and our guests loved being picked up and driven across the island - a fun little adventure before the ceremony. Last year I visited Tamanu & the moment I saw it I knew it was where I would be married. Last week that's exactly what we did. We had five amazing nights at Tamanu and it was very relaxing. We both found the food delicious, especially at the wedding…… The buffet was beyond expectations. Nothing nicer than falling asleep to the sound of the waves then waking up in the morning looking outside (from bed) and seeing paradise. The perfect place for a romantic getaway.
